How to Get Started with Aster

MetaMask is a browser extension wallet for EVM chains. Aster also supports email sign-in if you don't have a wallet.

Buy BNB or ETH on a CEX
Buy BNB (for BNB Chain) or ETH (for Ethereum/Arbitrum) on a centralized exchange such as Binance, Coinbase or Kraken, then withdraw to your wallet address.

FAQ

Aster is a privacy-first Perpetual DEX (Perp DEX). It lists perpetual futures on crypto, US and HK equities and commodities.

Its defining feature is order privacy. On fully transparent perp DEXes, every order, position size and liquidation level is visible onchain β€” and traders coordinate to hunt those liquidations. On Aster, orders are encrypted before reaching the chain and decrypted only at execution, so your hand is never shown.

This runs on Aster Chain, its own L1 built for private perps trading: 100,000+ TPS and 50ms block latency. Four trading modes are available: Perpetuals (order book), Shield Mode (AMM-style with higher leverage), 1001x (onchain liquidity, MEV-resistant) and Spot.

Because Aster did not stop distributing at TGE. The $ASTER TGE took place in September 2025, and staged airdrops continued afterwards:

Over 120 crypto perpetual markets are listed, from majors like BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB and ASTER through to memecoins. Spot trading covers 35+ pairs.

On top of that, US and Hong Kong stock perpetuals trade 24/7, settled in USDT with up to 50x leverage. An EWMA-smoothed pricing mode handles the thin-liquidity hours when equity markets are closed.

Note that at 500x and above you cannot add margin to an open position. Below 500x you can, and an open/close position fee of 0.08% applies. High leverage magnifies losses at the same rate β€” size accordingly.

Aster's fees depend on whether your order adds liquidity to the book (maker) or takes it (taker). Rates by contract type:

Β· USDT-perpetuals: maker 0% / taker 0.04%
Β· USD1-perpetuals: maker 0% / taker 0.005%
Β· Stock perpetuals: maker 0% / taker 0.009%

Maker is free across the board, and paying fees in $ASTER gives a further 5% discount. Market makers can reach tiers where the maker fee is negative (a rebate).

In the Rewards Hub on the Aster site. Deposit and cumulative-volume tasks award Rh points, and hitting higher volume tiers also awards BONUSUSD β€” a bonus token usable as collateral that cannot be withdrawn, though profits made with it can.

Settlement and collateral
The settlement asset is USDT. Several assets work as collateral:

USDF and asBNB keep generating yield while serving as your margin (Trade & Earn).

MetaMask and other EVM-compatible Web3 wallets are supported; a Solana-compatible wallet is needed for the Solana network.

Email sign-in is also available if you don't have a wallet. Be careful though: a wallet created via email login can only receive USDT on Arbitrum One. Sending another chain or another token (such as USDC) requires a recovery procedure.
